Liposuction

Contrary to popular (mis)belief, liposuction is not a substitute for weight reduction. Rather, it is ideal for those who have already lost weight but still have stubborn bulges despite extensive dieting and exercise. The procedure shapes up the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, calves, chin area, cheek, neck and upper arms by removing excess fats in these areas. The length of the operation varies from 2 to 4 hours depending on the area. It is mostly done under general anesthesia with hospital confinement. However, small areas are done under local anesthesia on an out patient basis. One can go back working in a week. Strenuous activities can be resumed in 2 to 4 weeks. The results are usually permanent with reasonable exercise and diet. This procedure can be combined with breast enhancement, tummy tuck, and nose or eye surgery.

Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck)

Is particularly beneficial to women who have multiple pregnancies causing excessive laxity of lower abdominal skin and muscles. Is an effective treatment for reducing cellulite and unwanted fats in some areas of the body. This can be done easily by injecting medication and vitamins into the fatty areas. The procedure varies from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the areas to be treated. Usually the required treatment will vary from 6 to 10 sessions to achieve good results. It is expected to have a minimal bruising and swelling and one can go back to his/her daily activities immediately after the procedure. This can be combined with tummy tuck, breast enhancements and facial enhancements.

BIB the BioEnterics Intragastric Balloon

Is a non-surgical and non-pharmaceutical alternative treatment for obesity. It is a safe, gentle and effective system to induce weight loss in overweight and obese patients by partially filling the stomach to help achieve a feeling of fullness. The BIB is a saline-filled biocompatible silicone balloon place inside the stomach (endoscopically, no surgery involved) to limit food consumption.
